Clint Reynolds had been building frames since he was a wee lad, but after spending some time in our Santa Ana shop laying beads on his very first S&M frame in May 2012, Clint and his boys Matty and Nutter decided to don the Shield!

After hanging around plenty as a grom and doing it for Redline for awhile, Hucker finally found his way home to So Cal based S&M Bikes in Jan 2012. Huck Yea dude!

TransWorld Business is making an effort to pull back the curtains and shine a little light on the corner office so that you can hear first hand from the CEOs and masterminds what really goes into making sure that your favorite brands and products continue to thrive. Recently we had the opportunity to talk with a great name in BMX, Chris Moeller, CEO of S&M Bikes/Fit Bike Co. Moeller has been immersed in the world of BMX since he was young and his passions for it shine through in the success of his brands. But enough from us, let’s hear what he had to say: (more…)

Mike Hoder’s signature frame came into the world in Sept. 2012 – nine months after he joined the team.  As far as what BTM stands for? Who knows, ask Hoder.

BTM Frame

Hoder’s signature handlebar ushered in the “bigger bar” trend and in hindsight, was really the original XL bar BMX offered. Mike wanted his bars taller, so he didn’t have to hunch over, and wider for stability and comfort. The geometry is similar to our ever-popular Slam Bar, so it automatically feels familiar. The Hoder Bar is made in the USA from post-weld heat-treated and butted 4130.

Rise: 8.625′
Width: 30′
Upsweep: 1.5°
Back Sweep: 11°
Cross Bar: .75′
Weight: 2.13 Lb (.97 Kg)
Material: 4130 Crmo

Chad Johnston has been a player in the flatland game since day one, but he didn’t find a super stable home sponsorship wise until landing on S&M at age 40. His ability to revolutionize flatland riding (plus the fact that he’s a cool dude!) made marrying Chad’s Intrikat steeze with the shield in 2011 a no-brainer. Having Chad’s name and input on all of S&M’s new flatland offerings is something we’re pretty darn proud of.

Hoder did a stint on Sunday before he found his home on S&M bikes. We like him. We like him a lot.

Tony Cardona, Randy Brown, Cameron Wood  joined the squad in 2008 and by April 2009, they each had signature frames to show for it. Cam and Randy’s frames were both tweaked into V2 versions in Spring 2011. Tony Cardoney isn’t on the team anymore, thus his frame was retired too, but we enjoy his Texas Toast rebel runs and his riding in general and wish him the best.
