Custom Forks

If you can't find a fork that's right for you, or you want to try something new, you can now order a custom S&M fork directly from us. Start by picking one of the following base models that is close to what you want and customize it using the options available for each. Each base model fork will have a different set of options, but the end result will always be the same - a high-quality Made in USA fork suited specifically to you and your style.

Custom Fork Options


Length

The Classic straight leg fork is available in 16", 18", 20", 22", 24", and 26" to fit just about any ride. If you prefer the XLT tapered leg, you can choose from 20" or 24" lengths.

Steerer Tube

The XLT steerer tube has all the options: integrated bearing race, welded in compression nut, and our exclusive extruded 6061 steerer tube insert for extra strength. It's available in 2 lengths: 162mm or 172mm (Race).

The Classic steerer tube has a standard crown (for a press on bearing race), and is available in 162mm, 172mm (Race), or 203mm (with no compression nut). 

Dropouts

Choose from 14mm or 3/8" laser cut dropouts on the Classic fork, or 3/8" or the new Black Hole dropouts on the XLT. Black Hole dropouts only work with hubs that have female axles.

Brake Mounts

No Brakes, 990's, or V-brakes, it's your choice.

Finish

We only offer stock colors on custom forks: Gloss Black, Flat Black, Gloss White, Flat White, Gloss Red, and Silver Zinc. However, if you're getting a custom frame at the same time, and are paying the $75 extra for a custom frame color, you can get your fork the same color at no charge. Just select "Match custom frame" in the Finish dropdown. *Please be aware that translucent colors will not match exactly between frames and forks due to the heat treating process. Due to increased turn-around time and rising costs, chrome plating is not an option for custom forks.

Warranty

Warranty coverage on custom forks is the same as warranty coverage on stock forks. Please be aware no charge replacements will only be made with stock forks. Cost replacements on custom forks within warranty period will be done at a 25% discount. We can also do no charge repairs on custom forks within warranty period where applicable. Return shipping to S&M Bikes will be customer’s responsibility.
